This solution hailed as a “game-changer”, contributed to the next revolutionary aerial survey system called as Vogel R3D which provided by UK-based Plowman Craven which achieved the Service Innovation of the Year at the prestigious Rail Industry Awards. Vogel R3D enables the comprehensive surveying of the entire rail environment without the need for possessions, line-blocks or people on the tracks. Plowman Craven UAV Technical Manager, Sir James Dunthorne which has stated: “The embedded solution provided by Phase One and Aerialtronics has been able to mitigate all of the risks associated with aerial data acquisition while surveying large stretches of linear assets in a fraction of time compared to traditional UAVs.”
